Project Background
Yaldhurst Park is a new development in the suburb of Yaldhurst, west of Christchurch City. The development is a master-planned residential and commercial development with 254 freehold residential sections and a 5-hectare retail/commercial precinct offering a range of cafes, restaurants and other services.
The Plant People are leaders in the landscape sector in New Zealand. They reached out to Moddex in Stage 4 & 5 of the project, looking for a walkway bridge railing that met standards and specific loading requirements.
Why were Moddex selected?
Moddex supplied 30m of our Bridgerail BR20 system.
The key reason Moddex was chosen on this project was being able to provide a pre-engineered kitset system in a short turnaround that met the NZTA bridge manual loadings. No other supplier had a proprietary ‘off the shelf’ system that would meet the loadings required, which would mean that it had to be custom designed and engineered, a time consuming and costly process.
From first initial contact from the client to installation was as short as 3 weeks. Our pre-engineered system saved the client time, money and resources.
