Project Overview
The Menangle Pedestrian Bridge provides a new 2.5m wide shared path over the Southern Highlands Railway Line, connecting the growing residential community with Menangle Station. Delivered as part of Mirvac’s The Village development, it ensures pedestrians and cyclists can safely cross the rail corridor. Moddex was engaged by Complete Steelworx to supply and install compliant Bridgerail™ systems for the bridge, ramps, stairs and platforms.
The Moddex Solution
Moddex supplied and installed Bridgerail™ BR45 system across the bridge approach structures to deliver a fully compliant and durable edge protection solution. The BR45 system was installed along approach ramps, stairs and landings. All systems were prefabricated and hot dip galvanised achieving long-term corrosion resistance, and full compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act (1992) for public access infrastructure.
