Moddex: On the lookout for peace of mind
With a track record of providing safe and effective handrail and balustrade solutions, Moddex was appointed to supply our signature CB10 Waved Balustrade to support the recreation and peace of mind of locals and visitors to this scenic location in Lake Morris, Cairns.
Having worked closely with the region’s Council across numerous projects, Cairns Council was confident Moddex could supply the ideal solution to support the completion of infrastructure at this destination spot. The balustrade had to be aesthetically pleasing for the public eye and enjoyment while meeting compliance with all Australian Standards. We consulted closely with the Council to identify and select a design that met safety and style requirements.
Assigned to design and manufacture the balustrade, the Moddex team expertly rolled the balusters along with the powder coating and pre-assembling the stanchions. By providing an aesthetically pleasing modular barrier system compliant to all Australian standards, the modular barrier avoided the disruption to the public of on-site welding, with workers able to install it quickly and efficiently.

It’s modular flexibility combined with no-weld assembly was ideal for the project requirements. Coming as a flat pack delivery, the reduced corrosion and colour options offer the perfect solution for outdoor conditions and the ability to integrate into the natural environment.
For level applications greater than one metre, the CB10 Waved Balustrade is the go-to for applications suited to sightseeing and recreation settings.
