The Waikato 50 Water Treatment Plant was designed and built in response to Auckland’s rapid growth and water crisis. Providing up to 50 million litres a day, this project marked a critical milestone in Watercare’s drought response.
The project was delivered by The Fletcher Construction Company, on behalf of Watercare. Moddex were engaged by Fletchers and their subcontractor, Filtec, to design, supply & install our industrial Tuffrail handrail system.
Moddex worked with the client’s structural BIM model to design our handrails to ensure a perfect fit on site. The finest of details were resolved at this stage in the process before moving into production.
Working on an accelerated programme, our in-house capability to design off their structural BIM model brought significant time savings to the client, by eliminating the need for taking site measurements.
Waikato 50 is an example of a team working together efficiently to achieve an extraordinary result in delivering a key piece of Auckland’s infrastructure. Moddex are proud to be a part of such a signficiant project.
