Project Background
Opened in 2014, the $10 million Waimate West Water Treatment plant was the culmination of a highly successful programme to upgrade the district’s water infrastructure. The upgrade of the existing Water Treatment Plant in Kaponga, South Taranaki, was undertaken to increase the supply capacity and water quality to the Mania township, local industry and surrounding Taranaki Districts. Coming in well under budget, the Moddex stairs and railings were an attractive and cost-effective solution for the project.

Why was Moddex product selected?
To be able to deliver the project under budget and on time, a product with short lead times, easy installation and a great price was needed. Moddex was the perfect fit due to the modular, preconfigured, pre-engineered nature of the system.
