Project Overview
Located in Broadmeadows, Victoria, the Melbourne North Customer Fulfilment Centre forms part of Woolworths Group’s growing network of automated distribution facilities. The project involved repurposing an existing 15,000m² warehouse and 2000m² of adjoining office space to create a new fulfilment centre and administration hub. Moddex was engaged by Mainbrace Constructions to design, supply and install around two kilometres of modular handrail and access systems across the mezzanines, stairs and plant areas within the facility.
The Moddex Solution
Moddex delivered Assistrail® AR45 and AR150, Tuffrail® TR25 with Tuffgard® Toeboard systems across the outbound stairs, mezzanine decks and plant platforms. All systems were prefabricated and hot dip galvanised allowing fast, no-weld installation and minimal disruption to ongoing construction works. Working closely with Mainbrace Constructions, Moddex delivered a durable, low maintenance solution that met the project’s strict safety and compliance requirements while supporting the rapid transformation of this large-scale industrial site.
