The $13.2 million upgrade of Loxton Recreation Centre completed in January 2020 was part of the Building Better Regions Fund aimed to create jobs, drive economic growth, and build stronger regional communities into the future.
The Member for Barker, Tony Pasin said “This project is making Loxton an even better place to live and work, improving regional amenities for sport and recreation”.
The upgrade included construction of a sports stadium incorporating two indoor courts, mezzanine level function area, a tiered seating area and sporting bar that interconnects with an existing grandstand covered by a new canopy roof structure and associated landscaping.
Why was Moddex product selected?
Having previously worked with BADGE Constructions, Moddex was specified to supply and install balustrades on the internal and external stairs, stadium stairs of the concourse.
A product with short lead time and easy installation was needed. Moddex was the perfect fit, due to the modular nature of the system, as well as ensured compliance to the Australian Stadium and C5 Crowd Loading Standards.
The balustrades where custom finished with Black Powdercoat from the Dulux range, alongside an Offset Stainless-Steel handrail, creating a neat architectural and aesthetic finish.
