Project Background
Moddex worked with Georgiou to provide Modular Commercial Balustrade around culverts and along the refurbished stretch of roadway. Georgiou was awarded the project in April 2018 valued around $41 million by Brisbane City Council, to upgrade the Telegraph Road Corridor. The Motorway upgrade took place between Nudgee and Deagon and included additional pavement and safety works through to Bracken Ridge, to improve traffic safety and efficiency on the motorway.

Why was Moddex product selected?
Having previously worked with Brisbane City Council, Moddex was nominated by the council to provide a balustrade product for this project. As we were involved early on in the project, we were able to work with the Council and Georgiou to provide a modular system compliant to AS5100.2. We were able to combine our proprietary system with a bespoke solution that met RPEQ certification. Through our project delivery service, Moddex was able to both supply product directly to Georgiou for installation and arrange our own install teams to assist where there were time constraints onsite.
