Subsequently, many suppliers to the non-residential construction and infrastructure industries have struggled to keep up with the recent changes in global trade. Restrictions on travel and closed borders have also forced many firms to re-evaluate their supply chains in terms of global risk.
It is almost impossible, however, for most firms to anticipate every type of risk, and the only way to prepare for the unknown is to ensure flexibility across the supply chain. That is, being flexible enough to find alternatives sources if suddenly one supplier or region becomes unable to supply the business. Components for our products ranges can be sourced from two regions at any given time and/or have an interchangeable part should the main components be at risk in any given region. Our suppliers also keep inventory on hand in case of future supply disruptions and/or peak construction periods.

As a 100% Australian owned company, our warehouse, production and assembly lines are located across the Eastern and Western seaboards. Having warehouses in multiple States in Australia, as well as a company in New Zealand – we are not reliant on any one site to supply our projects nationally.
Our local presence and reliability are part of the reason we were selected as a contractor on projects like Burwood Brickworks Shopping Centre. Aiming to be the first retail building worldwide to achieve full certification under the Living Building Challenge, Moddex satisfied local content and local job creation targets. This was followed by an exhaustive compliance review of the composition and manufacturing processes for all products and componentry.
