Project Background
Wyong Shire Council closed Minnesota Road at Hamlyn Terrace for a period of approximately five months to complete a major $5.6 million upgrade. The culvert construction consisted of around 100 metres of concrete drainage, and the new road was raised approximately 1.5 metres above the existing causeway level.
Moddex worked with Wyong Shire Council to provide Modular Bikesafe Barriers along the refurbished stretch of roadway.

Why was Moddex product selected?
Moddex was chosen to ensure compliance to Austroads, and for the safety of cyclists. As there was a significant drop from the edge of the path, a cyclist would have incurred severe injuries in the case of an accident. Moddex was the obvious choice because it could be cost effectively installed by council employees/contractors when time permitted.
