Project Background:
The CityLink Tullamarine corridor is one of Melbourne’s most heavily used roads, carrying approximately 210,000 vehicles per day in its busiest section.
The CityLink Tulla Widening project involves upgrading 23.8 kilometres of the CityLink Tullamarine Freeway corridor. The upgrade will extend from the CityLink tunnels to Melbourne Airport.
Moddex is pleased to be part of this Vic Roads expansion project. We have supplied approximately 4 kilometers of handrail product to the site over the past couple of months.
The project will increase the road’s capacity by up to 30 per cent, ease congestion and improve safety.
Why was Moddex product selected?
Moddex was specified on the project primarily because of its modular flexibility. The project involved custom heights and designs and the Moddex Design team were able deliver a fast and effective solution to cater for this.
Through selecting Moddex, CPB Contractors controlled custom fabrication costs and benefited from the fast lead times for experience in both production and installation.
