Why was Moddex product selected?
We approached Moddex’s distributor here in Western Australia to provide us with a solution to meet both our construction needs and all regulations for fire escape handrails. Moddex supplied the solution rapidly for installation in the six levels of the Leederville (Perth) commercial building construction project.

Though the request from us was on short notice, the response from Moddex was remarkable. We were met with a no problem attitude, nothing was too much, allowing us to meet our own construction deadlines.
Our site manager was a little sceptical initially, never having had experience with the ‘modular’ handrail and balustrade design and system that Moddex manufactures, he (and our architects) was more than pleasantly surprised with the end result.
It is a robust construction. The fact that it is modular has resulted in significant savings for the organisation in both labour and time. The design is so clever that the installation process can be worked out within minutes. The install was completed well and truly before the expected deadline. Moddex was in and out in a very short time.
Pact Constructions has only previously fully fabricated onsite its handrails requiring welding and the associated constraints and hazards. Because there is no on site welding required for Moddex handrails, installation and safety issues were dramatically reduced.
I am confident in saying that our fire escape handrails meet all structural integrity needs while the Moddex offering offers us unlimited configurations and cost effectiveness.
