Project Background:
The Waitaki Dam opened in 1934 and has seven 15 megawatt generating units, totalling a generation output of up to 105 megawatts. This generates enough electricity each year for about 51,000 average New Zealand homes.
Moddex supplied our TR20 handrails along the edges of one of the sluices to prevent a fall danger of falling into the dam below.
