Project Background
The thriving community of Hobsonville got their early Christmas present, with their very own New World & retail complex! The brand-new store was open in mid-November 2020.
This complex is designed to meet the growth needs of the busy Hobsonville community. Everything is now right there and ready to go, whatever the need or occasion.
Moddex were contracted by Lanskey Construction to supply our modular, proprietary handrails and balustrades for the accessible stairs and ramp.
Why was Moddex product selected?
Customisation
The project had one key custom requirement which was a long accessible ramp that was curved. Moddex designed & custom fabricated a raked and rolled balustrade system which perfectly fit the curvature of the ramp!
Minimal time on site
Because Moddex modular systems are 100% no-weld, there were countless benefits over using other traditional welded systems. Our handrails were designed and manufactured off-site then delivered to site in a flat packed kit-set form. The only tools required for install were battery powered, handheld tools with no on-site hot works required which bought install efficiencies of more than 30%.
By using Moddex modular handrails, which are quick and easy to install, our client was able to save valuable time and costly project delays. With a goal of completing the project before Christmas, the project was completed and open to the public mid-November despite the delays from the Covid-19 lockdown. Being at the tail end of the project it was important for our client to have this scope of works designed, supplied and installed in a quick and efficient timeframe that of which Moddex was able to meet exceptionally.
