Project Background
During 2016 the Victorian Government spent approximately $4 million on the construction of an underpass to connect a popular surf beach to the car park on Great Ocean Road.
Thousands of cars and buses pass the beach each day over summer making it a significant road safety issue. The construction of the underpass which is 30 metres long & 3 metres wide has made it safer for everyone accessing the beach including the children participating in the Surf Life Saving nippers program.
Moddex worked with JS Welding & Fabrication to supply disability handrail and commercial balustrade for the underpass.
