Project Background
After consultation with residents and stakeholders, Brisbane City Council has created a 20-year vision that reflects the community aspirations for the Mt Coot-tha precinct.
The vision is to embrace Mt Coot-tha as an iconic green landmark for the City of Brisbane and subsequently the Brisbane City Council announced planned upgrades in mid-2017 in line with the shared vision.
The upgrades will focus on improving accessibility and enhancing visitor experience including upgrades to the facilities.
Stage 3 is focused on the area at the back of Simpson Falls – Peter’s Pound and involves installing new shelters, picnic seating, barbeques, pathways, a bridge and improvements to the current carpark.

Why was Moddex product selected?
Moddex supplied various configurations of Conectabal Commercial Balustrade and Assistrail Disability Handrails designed to help prevent injuries or falls from retaining walls and elevated areas, as well as along access paths within the picnic area.
Moddex was specified on the project by the Brisbane City Council and had developed a strong relationship with the client; Naturform after working together on a number of projects.
