Project Background:
The Bathurst Regional Council recently completed work in March 2020 on additional skate park elements. The total cost of the project was $530,000 with almost $300,000 of that contributed from the State Government through the Stronger Country Communities Fund; with the remainder funded from the local Bathurst Council.
The Council commissioned Convic Pty Ltd to carefully design the extension, with the final design being contributed to by the Youth Council and local schools.
The extension now provides skaters with more park obstacles and allows all skill levels, from amateur to experienced skaters to enjoy whilst staying safe.
Moddex worked with VFG Skateparks to provide modular commercial balustrade and disability handrail to the edges of the skate bowl.
Products/configurations used on project:
- CB10
- CB40
- AR10
Why was Moddex product selected?
Having previously worked with Bathurst City Council, Moddex was specified by the Council and worked alongside VFG Skateparks to supply and install product. Moddex provided a cost-effective modular solution, ensuring compliant edge protection, enabling a fun and safe environment for all users.
