Project Background:
Boral Asphalt Plant in Bundaberg recently performed an upgrade on all safety systems as part of an initiative Boral ran in 2018. The initiative was set out to make all Boral worksites safer, lowering exposure to avoid all major injuries, making sites more efficient and leaner, in turn boosting employee morale.
After previously working with Boral on various other projects, Moddex was selected to supply and install handrail and balustrades on the stairs and platforms around the asphalt plant.

Why was Moddex product selected?
A product that had a quick self-installation and met all safety requirements was necessary. Moddex was the perfect fit due to the modular and pre-engineered nature of the system, ensuring total compliance and meeting all safety requirements.
The handrail and balustrade were galvanised, with sections of the handrail neatly finished off with yellow powder coat to designate caution and mark physical hazards around the plant, ensuring maximum safety.
