Project Overview
Moddex was engaged to design and supply a compliant handrail and guarding solution for a new mezzanine and process platform installation delivered by Taurus Engineering. Our scope focused on engineering a coordinated handrail kit set to integrate with the fabricated steel structure and access stairs.
The Moddex Solution
To support fabrication accuracy, our in-house design team worked directly within the client’s 3D model environment, allowing the guarding system to be developed as part of the broader structural environment rather than as a separate overlay. All interface conditions were defined digitally before fabrication commenced, including post placement, base plate positioning and stair handrail transitions. Compliance requirements such as guardrail heights, midrails and edge protection were validated during the modelling phase, ensuring alignment with both relevant standards and the supporting steel framework.
