Project Background:
Locals and visitors of the Nepean River are now enjoying improved access to the river foreshore following the completion of works to Tench Reserve as of 2019.
As part of the Penrith City Council’s ‘Our River Masterplan’, Moddex was privileged to be a part of the upgrades to Tench Reserve Boating Facilities.
Contracted by Land & Marine Group, Moddex worked in sync to supply our modern Connectabal Commercial Balustrades and Assistrail Disability Handrails which perfectly complemented the state-of-the-art sandstone retaining walls, boat parking bays, jetties, landscaped gardens and footpaths leading to the incredible boat ramp that plunges into the Nepean River.
The works have been a fundamental element of Council’s Our River Masterplan, and were jointly funded by the Australian Government and the NSW Boating Now infrastructure program.
The upgrade of Tench Reserve has vastly improved amenity, accessibility and is enhancing opportunities for residents and visitors to better experience nature and connect to this magnificent River.
Why was Moddex product selected?
Having successfully supplied and installed multiple projects of similar scale, Moddex was again selected to supply our innovative modular systems to provide safe, durable and compliant access to the River.
Our systems provide guaranteed compliance with the DDA, NCC and AS1428, which reduces risk to visitors of falling from heights and offers a superior safety load rating against high-risk situations.
Along with assured compliance, the handrails were installed quickly providing ease, due to the seamless, no-weld, modular nature of Moddex products.
At Moddex, everything fits.
