Project Background
Siena Catholic Primary School is the first school for the Lucas area. The school received $3 million in funding for design and construction of Stage 1.
The school site is 3ha and is positioned on the north side of the education precinct and in total the education and recreation precinct makes up 17 hectares.
The builders for this project were Swan Build and Searle Brothers.
Stage 1 included two buildings comprising of general learning areas, site works including a synthetic turf, and infrastructure. Stage 1A, a permanent modular facility, was completed in December 2016, allowing the school to open in Term 1, 2017.
Moddex was able to supply the client with balustrading for the east, west and south decks to ensure the safety of students.
Stage 1B of the project is the construction of a second modular building. This building will be delivered by August and finished in November 2017.

Why was Moddex product selected?
Our systems are assembled without welding, eliminating hot works permits, toxic fumes and safety hazards for installers, teachers and students. There were significant cost savings to be made by using Moddex.
Y2 architecture were the Architects engaged on the project and they could see the obvious benefits of a proprietary, compliant system.
The guarantee of compliance to AS 1428 and relevant NCC/BCA codes gave ultimate peace of mind and made Moddex handrails the obvious choice.
